Hidcote
(L. angustifolia)

One of most widely grown of all lavenders.

Medium sized bushy plant with dense grey-green foliage. A very popular cultivar for hedging, with a compact, erect habit, gray leaves and strongly scented, deep violet flowers in dense spikes.

Prized for prolific fragrant dark purple flowers (good for sachets). Flowers are great for drying.

Corollas are very bright violet, calyces are densely haired and deep violet.
