Small dense bush with mid green foliage. Flowering stalks are short. Corollas blue violet and calyces finely hairy tinged with violet. Effect in the garden is of lilac blue.

Can be grown in colder areas where many lavenders will not survive. Flowers in its first season and can be treated as an annual.

Pleasing sweet fragrance. Suitable as an ornamental or low hedging plant. Can be added to potpourri.
